June Jams

Happy hump day, folks!

How is your week going??

I’ve been walking around with a goofy smile on my face, because it has been sunny & B.E.A.utiful out in Chicago this week, and I am so happy with our move.

I’m not sure if it’s the additional space, eliminating some of the craziness of city life, or finally having a little private outdoor space, but I just feel lighter! :)

Last night, I broke myself away from the studying (I’m supposed to do about 6 hours on top of the 3 hour class I have in the mornings….yeah….tell me about it!) to get in a little jog around the new hood.

I suited up in all of my favorite workout gear:

And hit the trails.

Unfortunately, my legs felt cricket-y (like they were a million years old and didn’t want to move!) and I was also experiencing a fierce tummy ache from my afternoon snack (I just HAD to have that little glass of milk with my carmel de-lite tasting LUNA bar).

I think the only thing that got me through my first workout in days was my new playlist.  It’s amazing what some good music can do for me at times.

And….guess what??

I’m gonna share it with you!! (I know, you’re shocked).

So here’s how it goes:

June Jams:

1) Home is Where the Heart Is, Lady Antebellum
2) Faster, Matt Nathanson
3) Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.), Katy Perry
4) Release (feat. Justin Timberlake), Timbaland
5) Don’t Wanna Go Home, Jason Derulo {download this one NOW!}
6) Beggin’ On Your Knees, Victorious Cast
7) I’m Into You (feat. Whheeeezieeee), Jennifer Lopez
8) What a Feeling (Radio Edit) (feat. Kelly Rowland), Alex Gaudino
9) Barefoot Blue Jean Night, Jake Own

This is good for a light(ish) schweaty summer run, or any other 30 minute workout.

You’re welcome! :)

I’m gonna go check out my “new” gym (same chain – different city) later this afternoon, but first, it’s time to devour this bad boy:

Every vegetable salad w/ Chicken (Spring Mix + Red & Yellow Pepper + Corn + Green Beans + Crumbled Blue Cheezies + Crock Pot BBQ Chicken + Light Balsamic).

I’ve been doing a LOT of sandwiches for lunch lately, and I was craving some greenies today.

Green tooth à satisfied.

Hope you guys have a great rest of the day! :)

Here’s some more innneresting reading for you this afternoon:

Wanna know what’s in Kelly Ripa's fridge? {I know I did!}

A tear jerker + a great cause {I was sobbing directly into my BarBri books with this one}

Check ya lata!

xoxo

  1. I am so glad that you are loving your new place! I totally understand wanting to be outside of the city and have some more space. I think I would miss some aspects of city livin but I do want some more space both in and outside! :)

    Looks like an awesome play list. I've been running sans tunes because the weather is so nice. I'm sure I'll need some great music when the winter comes again! :)

    Hope the rest of your studying goes well! :)

  2. Aww thanks, Jenny! I definitely agree! I will be missing lake runs, and being able to walk right out my door to shops/restaurants, etc. I think I'm just riding the high of change right now!

    That's awesome that you can run without music and just enjoy the sceanary. I will have to give that a try sometime. Sounds very peaceful! :)
