Weekend Warrior

Hi everyone! :)

It is a hands down GORgeous day here in Chicagoland.

I can wear my pretty flip flops and finally not feel like a lunatic.  Hallelujah!

Yes, those are the cutest sandals ever (from my bff Ashley!) and, yes, I do plan to get a pedicure after finals! ;)

Before cracking open my books yesterday, I jetted off to the ole' gym to clear out some cobwebs & break a little sweat.

I woke up in the mood for a tough work out.  I planned to get on the StairMaster and go at it for a good 45 minutes, but they were all full and I wasn't feeling so patient this time.

I pulled out my iPhone, and looked for a little treadmill interval set.

I found a workout over on peanut butter fingers called "30 minute intense incline treadmill workout."  This sounded like just what the doctor ordered!

I ramped up the incline, and got to it.

Wooahh buddy.  This one is NOT for the faint at heart.  Do not attempt unless you are already a regular workout-er and are feeling extra-energized that day.

There were times where I didn't know if I was going to make it, like at minute 18 when I was RUNNING at an incline of 11.  And, to be honest, I didn't even know that treadmills could go up to an incline of 15.  I've never broken 12 before, so this seemed ungodly.

Thankfully, I got through it with the help of some friends.

Some good reading material a la Jillian Michaels...

And, yes, that was the NFL draft.  I was studying up to impress Justin later -- I got all sorts of tricks! :)

This workout definitely called for some kick booty music, good thing I came armed with a brand-spankin-new playlist!!

Appropriately titled "Newbie" on my iTunes

1. Till the World Ends (The Femme Fatale Remix), Britney Spears (featuring Nicki Minaj & Ke$ha)
2. Roll Up, Wiz Khalifa
3. Party Rock Anthem, LMFAO (featuring Lauren Bennett & GoonRock)
4. Give Me Everything, Pitbull (featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack, & Nayer)
5. Country Girl (Shake It for Me), Luke Bryan
6: Magic (Radio Edit), Emili
7. Written in the Stars, Tinie Tempah (featuring Eric Turner)
8. My Heart is Open, Keith Urban

**All available for purchase on iTunes now!

I did about a minute of walking at the beginning of the workout, and an extra minute of cool down at the end, so this playlist was perfect.

I was definitely a Sweaty Betty after this one, but it felt good.

Hope you all have a great Sunday!  Get outside and enjoy the sunshine for me!  I'm locked inside getting intense with the studying all day because my test is tomorrow! AAAHHHHH!  At least it's my last law school exam evaaa.  Yahoooo!

**Something to talk about: Do you typically workout on the weekends? Or do you use Saturday & Sunday as your "off" days? {I try to get in a sweat at least one day on the weekend, whenever possible.}

See ya back here tomorrow for your Monday dose of happiness! :)

xoxo

Jess
