How was your Friday night?
Did you get to sleep in, even just a little, this morning?
I have been sleeping like a baby because we have still yet to turn on our heat, so the bedroom is freezing.
Kind of reminds me at of the cold dorms at Tridelt in college, where I would get the best sleep of my life.
I'm not sure how much longer this no heat thing is going to last
Anyway, first things first, something VERY exciting happened over here last night/this AM...
I finally purchased the domain name for my blog.
That's right, you are now speaking to (listening to?) the owner of...
www.brighteyesandbushytales.com
I'm not sure what took me so long to do this.
I blame it on me really not understanding the Internet/web design as well as I'd like to.
I wasn't sure what all it would entail to get this change into motion and whether there would be any uncomfortable transition time.
Thankfully, no one already wanted my cheesy blog title, so I was pretty much good to go.
(Don't worry, if you type in the old .blogspot address, you will be instantly redirected.)
I gotcha covered! ;)
Another change I am hoping to make in the coming months is a switch over to WordPress.
After reading a lot of articles, it sounds like bloggers find WordPress to be far superior to Blogger.
But, don't get all excited, that's gonna take a while, because I think I'm going to need to enlist some help and, lets face it, I'm not a huge fan of change when it comes to things like this.

Anyway, woo hoo! I'm excited that I am finally doing some things with this little blog of mine that I've been wanting to do for a while.
I had so many exciting things in mind for after I finished the Bar exam, but life handed me a big fat gigantic cake full of wonderful surprises (a fantastic job & an engagement) that slowed things down a bit.
Thanks for sticking with me :)
Last night was another relaxing one!
Seems to be the case for Fridays, I think most everyone is just dead from the work week.
I told Justin he had 2 options for dinner:
1) Baked Pasta
2) Taco Night
He quickly answered "Taco Night!," saying it was the more "healthy" option.
Am I rubbing off on him??
Anyway, the baked pasta I had in mind would have been wholesome too (just some whole wheat pasta, tomatoes, chicken, and cheese), but I was game for taco night.
Seems the weekend Mexican theme is sticking around here, folks!
Ay caramba mi sombrero.
Ay caramba mi sombrero.
It's such a happy coincidence that Justin's favorite meals is also the easiest peasiest one to make.

Stand & Stuff for the win!!
Actually, I happened to take a peak at the ingredients on these babies and I was a little taken a-back to see something unfamiliar - "TBHQ (preservative)."
You guys know I really don't pay attention that that stuff, but for some reason, last night, that really freaked me out!
What the h-e-double-hockey-sticks is TBHQ?!?!?
Umm...apparently it's some form of BUTANE?!
My beloved stand & stuff tacos, how could you do me so wrong? :(
I think we might have to revamp our taco routine next time.
I just can't see myself eating an acronym much longer.
Anyway, I let it go for last night, and created the usual spread:
Shredded lettuce, shredded cheddar, hot sauce, chips/salsa, Greek yogurt sour cream & fiesta dip, ground sirloin, Mexican rice, butane shells...
Preservatives & all, they were still delish. Yum yum in my tum.
Justin & I curled up on the couch to watch our Friday night favorite, Dateline on NBC!
Our favorite "host" was doing the show last night...

Keith Morrison!
Keith is the best storyteller. Ever.
Well, IDK, Morgan Freeman could sure give him a run for his money. Hmm.
Okay, now that I am rambling!
We enjoyed our tacos, our Dateline, I had some tea, Justin watched the NBA scores on his Kindle, you know the deal.
Now we are up & at em & ready to get to the gym!
On the agenda today:
1) Our first wedding registry - going to Bed Bath & Beyond to do the scan thang! Any advice?? I haven't done my research, so this should be interesting.
2) Taking down the Christmas decorations. Waaaaaaaaahhh :(
3) Finishing the guest list! I have to get that off so we can get these save the dates out & I can share them with all of you!
Hope you all have a fantastic Saturday!
Something to talk about: Do you pay attention to ingredients like preservatives? Does it bother you, or not so much? Any suggestions for preservative free taco shells??
xoxo
Jess
My advice for registry....make sure to register for thing of ALL price ranges, but DEFINITELY register for the more expensive things (like luggage, a dyson, etc) that you want but know you won't buy yourself! You'd be surprise how many people would rather go in together on a big gift than get you a bunch of the little stuff. We registered for a Keg-o-rator for the hell of it and guess what we got? :)
